View of the two Church spires from King's Hill. One of the most prominent landmarks in the Black Country.

St Bartholomew's (St Barts) has been the Parish Church since the thirteenth Century, and St Mary's (on the left) was the Catholic Church erected in the mid-nineteenth Century.

Unfortunately, even though I have painstakingly transcribed these records, the people that I purchased them from now say that since they did the original transcription they hold all of the rights and I am not allowed to share them with anyone!!!!! Their argument is that they are a charity and therefore need to make more money. On the other hand FreeREG are gradually gaining permissions from all Counties and Parishes to enable them to publish all church records for free. This may take some time since they are reliant on volunteers to do the transcriptions
